San Dieger

This weekend Dustin and I took off to San Diego to have a "second look" at the UCSD Residency Program.

Naturally, we didn't come to San Diego only for business, but for pleasure as well. The first day we got here, our tire went flat. Luckily for us, Steoffrey came along to join in the fun. So consequently, they drove us around for two days (thanks guys!) which was great because I got to sit in the back and play with Baby V.

How cute is this face?

On Saturday morning we woke up and went to Balboa Park, we watched some yogis do yoga in an ampatheatre, and wished we could join in.

Watching them made us super hungry, so we got some lunch at The Cheese Shop (just the name sounds good, doesn't it?). Then we went on a retail adventure and saw Mr. Brainwash's art work along the way (not really, but it was pretty cool):

That night, Dustin was feeling sicky (that's what happens when you work in a hospital everyday) so I went out on a date with Stacie, Geoff, and Ivy. That is when we saw this amazing invention- we all agreed that it's purpose would be best served at a lake. How fun would that be?

On Sunday we went to Seal Beach (La Jolla Cove) and watched people risk their lives by jumping into the raging ocean from rocky cliffs and swim out into the freezing water just to body surf. Fuh-reaky! Meanwhile, there were seals frolicking in that SAME ocean (even scarier-those fins are hard to identify when just barely sticking out of the water, shark style!) We also took some group shots while we were there. All in all, it has been an great trip (minus Dustin and Ivy getting pretty sicky), thanks Langs for coming and making the trip much more exciting!

  11. I have been in LA for a year and a half, and I still haven't been to San Diego. Geez, what's up with that? I think once I discovered San Francisco, I decided no other places existed. If you guys haven't been there yet, you should put it on your Bucket List! With this whole waterball thing, i am thinking about adding SD to mine.
